Hi, my name is Anne Brown and my affinity with animals and dogs in particular began at an early age!
From the age of three I grew up with German Shepherd Dogs and they still hold a place in my heart.
On leaving school I completed a twelve month course at Bellmead Kennels in Old Windsor, studying canine care ( from day to day care to recognising
illness and disease), breeding and grooming. I then ran a successful boarding kennels, cattery and grooming salon for some 10 yrs.
During this time I also shared my life with Cocker Spaniels, German Shepherds and Pomeranians which I bred, showed, did obedience and agility with.
I have also trained and ridden horses and looked after a range of animals from hamsters and rabbits, through to goats and chicken.
Since leaving the boarding kennels I have continued to groom dogs and expand my knowledge by attending many courses and seminars.
I completed an 18 month course with Sheila Harper on canine communication, behaviour and training in 2005. This course has enhanced my understanding
of how dogs communicate (and how we can communicate with them) and how stress affects their health and temperament.
I hold a Diploma in Applied Zoopharmacognosy from the Ingraham Academy of Zoopharmacognosy and a level 2 Reiki and Seichem.
Over the years I have become more interested in alternative methods to help animals to recover from stress and illness.
I use flower essences, Applied Zoopharmacognosy and natural (spiritual) healing. These therapies offer a gentle and non invasive approach
to helping dogs and other animals ( I also work with cats and horses) to lead a happier and healthier life.
I opened Top To Tail Holistic Care in Cullompton in June 2007, something I had dreamed of doing for more than 10 yrs!
The Centre offers behaviour consultations, holistic consultations and a dog grooming service.
